EL DORADO HILLS, Dec. 1, 2007 — Myrlys L. Stockdale, founder and managing attorney of The Stockdale Law firm (http://www.myrlys.com), has been named a CV® Peer Review Rated lawyer by Lexis-Nexis® Martindale-Hubbell® (www.martindale.com). According to the 140 year-old organization, this honor recognizes attorneys who demonstrate “the highest ethical standards and professional ability.”
A CV-level rating is the highest allowed for lawyers who have been members of the Bar for less than five years. Stockdale was admitted to the California Bar in 2002, and her admission to the Washington, D.C., Bar is pending.
Stockdale’s practice focuses primarily on family law, including mediation, litigation and collaboration. An active supporter and practicing professional in the growing area of collaborative family law, she is a founding member of the El Dorado Collaborative Negotiation Group.
She earned her J.D. from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento, and a B.S. degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., in 1986. Before studying law, she worked as a reporter and public affairs professional.
